This year's Julebryg (Christmas brew) from us will retain the same old label (from the original Amager Bryghus), but the recipe and content will as always be new.
This year, Julebryg comes in the guise of an Irish Red Ale, which you may know from Kilkenny. In our version, however, it is a little darker, a little stronger and certainly with more body and flavor.
Our Julebryg should always be an easy-going, drinkable and unpretentious beer without frills, which is all-round suitable for good Danish Christmas food - but which can also be enjoyed in its own right. That's how Julebryg is this year too. Enjoy!
Kurt Santa Claus is hospitalized again. It was this summer that he went completely down with the flag. According to the doctors at the Amager Psychiatric Center, he is suffering from "Emotional Overload". We don't really know if it's an official diagnosis, but it's basically about Kurt's too big and too kind heart. Because not only does he want to make his dear children happy at Christmas, but in recent years he has also wanted to get involved in big politics. He wants to save the Russians from Putin, the Iranians from the priests, the Israelis from Netanyahu, the Americans from Trump and the North Koreans from that little fat guy with the silly hair. And lately he has also been raving about Hungary, Slovakia and Yemen. It's all all, way too much for Kurt. At the hospital they have simply tried to turn off Kurt's many thoughts, and maybe it's starting to work.
